We went here for dinner last Friday and Had to wait for a booth 15minutes not a problem. The owner behind the pizza line greeted me with a smile and said we will Be with you shortly. We where seated and the waitress seemed over whelmed with a full station. My mom ordered to appetizers 1 was the stuffed mushrooms and the Brussetta. Wish both where very good.I had the pasta soup wish was watery. Not many vegetables or pasta. Then I got the sausage and peppers with pasta and a red sauce. The sausage seems to have much salt. And garlic rolls served warm. But not soft. Kinda dry like old bread. Owner came by the table and asked how we where doing. Did not ask how is your food. The server forgot to bring us rolls and I had to remind her. She wasn't very put together her blond hair was hanging all over her head and the blouse was half hanging out of her pants. But she had a nice smile. If you want something Cheap and taking a shot at this place it's ok. But I wouldn't Recommend it to my friends or family. It's a good neighbor hood hole in the wall.

Dear FLPP, I think I was meant to be born Italian, but not in this lifetime. I love your pizza soooooo much! Sometimes, I just crave it so much and can taste it in my mouth. I'm simple, I don't need a lot of ingredients, but we always seem to order the same combo: sausage, mushrooms, garlic, and FRESH basil. Your crust is so heavenly. If you're a fan of Chicago style pizza, you better go elsewhere. If you like New York style pizza, this is the perfect, crusty, thin pie for you. Love, Miss Wannabe Guidette P.S. Your garlic rolls aren't bad either!

Umm pizza was ok, the pasta fosoli was awesome!! It was a little on the soupy side and not thick like others, I added cheese and it thickened it right up! The second time we went well the pasta dishes blow! I actually took 2 bites and umm went in the bathroom and threw up! I'd get pizza again if in a pinch, BUT corellis is still the best around :)

Not bad, but nothing special either. Ordered last Thursday after looking at menu online, and after ordering a three topping pizza and some wings, discovered the price was higher then what was advertised online. Although no biggie, I was still a bit annoyed when conveying this to the woman who took my order, who proceeded to argue with me. Automatic loss of one star there. The pizza did arrive in less 30 minutes, the driver was friendly (although he did ask for ID because I was paying by credit card, which once again is no biggie, but I think it was the curtness of how I was aked that was off putting) despite the fact he really was overall friendly, but I really found the food to be not all that special. The wings were great to snackk on later in the evening, and the pizza, to be truthful, taisted much better reheated the next day. Passable if your hungry, want a pizza delivered, etc. but it seems like there is no real descent pizza delivery places around Wilton Manors area. Still, better then some of the dives lingering around that might give one food poisoning, which happened to me a couple weeks ago at another establishment that prompted me to start writing on Yelp.

This place has just average pizza, the antipasto is good... overall Primanti Bros mops the floor with this place.

Great local spot! They offer a special meal deal menu nightly where you get soup, salad, entree, dessert, and coffee for like 11 bucks. It's the best deal around and they offer lots of choices. The pizza is great too. They lose a point for 1980s pizza parlor decor, but at least the booths are comfy.

i was hit with the sudden blues yesterday afternoon for reasons unknown to me, but i knew what would cheer me up... carbs... pizza carbs... cheesy and mushroomy. once the pizza-for-sure-to-cheer-me-up was decided, the next question was to decide from where... anthony's coal-fired for some yuppie cheese? or umberto's crispy pie served with abrasive waiters? none of these options were rev'n my engine so my boy suggested one of his fav lunch spots: ft lauderdale pizza. he was right on target as the place felt like the inside of your very own italian grandmother's 1970s home... brown wall panels, narrow room, faux leather orangish booths, classic italian art surrounded in poopie colored wood frames, and the warm sound of human conversation over clinking forks and knives working into steamy, cheesy pizza. and even though the whole world seemed to be dead last night (on a monday), the restaurant was full. we ordered garlic rolls to start... fresh and warm, but the garlic oil was lacking something (umberto's rolls beats this place). since the rolls were good, but not awesome... i knocked off one star. the pizza came hot, fresh (basil, mozz, and mushrooms) and crispy on the bottom. just how i like it! my mood meter definitely reached the happy zone. i will be back.

This is my local pizza joint! We eat here a couple times a month. If there's 4 of us, we get a large pie and a large antipasto salad. Perfect portion for 4 peeps. We order our pies well done. NYC sets a pretty high bar on pizza. In the last decade living in South Florida, I've found that if you want pizza with texture that resembles NYC pizza, order it well done. Otherwise the crust is too doughy. Their sauce is a basic but solid tomato sauce. There's perfect distribution of cheese and toppings on the pizza. I enjoy the antipasto salad here too. The large is a nice big portion, and they dice the provolone, which adds nice texture. They're house dressing is very good. Meatballs are good here too and the garlic rolls are pretty stellar. Can't say much for the entrees, haven't really gone past pizza. Others I've eaten here with had mussels and chicken parm and said both were good. Staff is super friendly and attentive. If you dine in, the place has a very non-South Florida atmosphere. Reminded me of the type of place you'd go to in upstate NY or PA, very cozy with some wood paneling and dim lighting.

I had a birthday event that was catered by Fort Lauderdale Pizza and Pasta on July 25 2015. I ordered 2 full pans of Sausage and peppers and 1 pan of ziti. What was delivered was 1 half pan of the S&P and 2 half pans of the cheaper to make and less expensive ziti. When my brother Louis Parra who is an experienced caterer asked me what was paid for these trays he was upset to the point of going to pizza and Pasta to lodge a complaint. My cost for three small pans of pasta and sausage was over 180.00 dollars! I was told the man he spoke to was dismissive saying the pans were the right size for that price although I told Fort Lauderdale PIzza and Pasta I wanted full pans.First of all what was ordered was 2 full pans sausage and peppers. What was delivered was 1 half pan Sausage and pepper when we were charged for two pans. I also ordered 1 full pan of ziti. What was delivered was 2 half pans of ziti. We did not receive what we were charged for. The food was good but unfortunately the amount we already paid for was not enough to where I had to go to publix to buy more food.

Great pizza but don't discountntheit entees. Grandma's pizza is marvelous just like in New York. The veal dishes are very tasty. I would reccomend Veal Piccata. They will also fix the dish with minimal butter. The tuna salad is also a winner.

My friend, Sheryl, and I found this off of a Google.com suggestion. And I'm glad we did! Lunch on a Saturday, we got there, parked, the place was nice and clean, the music was Sinatra and Martin, the waitress was really nice but the baker was even better (he was a sci-fi and Star Wars fan). The spaghetti with meat sauce was REALLY good! The garlic rolls were garlicy, and the white pizza that Sheryl had was very good - she said that was the best crust she's had in years! Looking around the place I would recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic place for Valentine's Day. I'd say make reservations now - it's not expensive and it's the right atmosphere for adults! - Salute!

Love love love this place. The staff is the BEST. The food reminds me of home (want a New York pizza, then get it here with extra cheese). The white pizza is out of this world, eh who am I kidding, I love everything at this restaurant.

I don't go here for the pizza, so I can't comment on that. But what I can comment on is their easy on the wallet prices along with exceptionally good dinners. They put out a real bargain with soup or salad, entrée and dessert combined at a more than bargain price. Honestly, I don't know how they do it for what they charge. To even better that, the service is always attentive, prompt, polite and friendly. All in all this is the budget bargain dinner gem of Lauderdale.

Worst dining experience I've ever had. Entree was supposed to come with salad. Told the waitress what dressing I wanted and everything and I never got it. When I reminded her about it she said my meal didn't come with a salad. Also ordered a dozen garlic rolls and she forgot about that as well. Ordered chicken Alfredo. Most bland thing I've ever eaten. Someone in my party got a steak sub and when the plate came out, it was laying in a puddle of grease. Then, I needed to use the restroom and the cook opened the door for me. I can deal with the bad tasting food, but the service was so poor it pushed me over the edge. If 1/2 star was possible I would give it that.

The pizza is great, eat in or take out. The calzones are extra extra creamy. The BEST thing in the place is not on the menu, although they often have it as a special. Veal Sicilian. It's both veal and eggplant in a vodka style sauce. (If you ask for it, they will make it for you, even when it's not the special.) It's only beer and wine, but get a carafe. It's the best deal. If you eat the entire meal, you will not have room for dessert. So take half home with you. The spumoni is barely a mouthful and delicious.

Been here multiple times and the food was always excellent - by far the best home made Ricotta cheesecake next to my Mom's! I would have given them 5 stars, but to be honest, my veal and mushrooms was not that great last Saturday. A little tough and not too flavorful. The pasta was good and the gravy is very good. The soup not too great and a little cold. i think they were just too busy that night so I feel they deserve a break. Next time I will try my usual - which would be something 'Parmigiana' because that is always excellent. The owner is the best and a real great guy. Down to earth and happy all the time! I love this place no matter what!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
